Currently, your organisation might have a ‘Software Assurance Agreement’ with Microsoft, which entitles you to a number of FREE Software Assurance Training days. These days can be converted to vouchers that can be used to book training at Torque IT at no cost to you! In fact, we would be happy to assist you in redeeming and using these vouchers as well as providing professional training for your IT professionals and/or developers.

What are Software Assurance Training Vouchers?

Microsoft Software Assurance Training Vouchers enable IT professionals and developers to take Microsoft classroom training on all products. They entitle you to receive courses from a Microsoft Learning Solutions Partner, such as Torque IT for a specific number of training days. The number of days given to an organisation varies by product and by the number of qualifying software licences with Software Assurance. To be eligible for training vouchers, you must have a minimum number of licences covered by the Software Assurance; this number varies by licensing programme.

How to activate

Your organisation’s Software Assurance benefits manager activates training vouchers through the Microsoft Volume Licensing Service site. Please ask us if you don’t know how.

Beware!

Any training voucher not reserved with Torque IT or a Learning Solutions Partner before the end of your Software Assurance coverage will expire and be forfeited.

What is the value of each training voucher?

One training voucher day equates to one classroom day of training. If a course is five days long, a five day voucher is needed.

Does the value vary by course type?

No, the value is the same for all eligible courses, and there is no difference in value between a developer course and an IT professional course. Both require the same number of voucher days if the course length is the same.

What is needed to get started with training vouchers?

First, ensure that you have a list of employees for whom you wish to create training vouchers for. Second, know the length of the courses for which you want to create training vouchers. Finally, go to the Microsoft Volume Licensing site to create the voucher. Torque IT can assist you.

What information must the employee provide when reserving a course through a Learning Solutions Partner such as Torque IT

The trainee must provide the training voucher number and the email address they used when they created the voucher. If one of these items is incorrect, Torque IT will not be able to validate the voucher.

Will the employee receive a hard copy training voucher from Microsoft?

No. Software Assurance training vouchers exist in electronic format only. A designated employee could print out the reservation confirmation page and submit it to the Learning Solutions Partner for verification if requested. The reservation confirmation page is sent to the employee automatically when the voucher is created.

Where do I go to redeem my training vouchers?

Training vouchers can only be redeemed at participating Learning Solutions Partner locations, like Torque IT.

Can Learning Solutions Partners NOT participating in the Software Assurance Training voucher programme accept Software Assurance Training vouchers?

No, only Learning Solutions Partners participating in the Software Assurance Training voucher programme under a signed Software Assurance agreement can accept training vouchers.

Can Learning Solutions Partners NOT participating in the Software Assurance Training voucher programme accept Software Assurance Training vouchers?
